Average Cost of Retainers:
On average our retainer clients pay $5,250 per month, which is approximately 40 hours of billable work. This is necessary to support the level of service and consulting we provide to our retained clients.
Average Cost of Projects:
One-off projects are quoted individually, but audits and strategies are typically $10,500 – $100,000+ depending on the size, complexity, and quantity of domains analyzed.
Retainers: We typically schedule bi-weekly or weekly calls with our clients for an hour, deliver monthly performance reviews with dashboards and more detailed reports upon request, and quarterly strategy reviews (ideally an in-person presentation with management and/or leadership teams).
Projects: Like our retainer clients, we still like to schedule bi-weekly or weekly calls with our project-based clients. We use this time to pre-deliver our recommendations, talk through implementation, receive critical feedback or history, and shape the next call agenda.
When you’re involved in the process, you’re more likely to implement our recommendations and see positive results. And, we like results, so we work hard to make sure you get them!
No two clients are the same when it comes to their online marketing needs. And, we understand that those differences often extend beyond your marketing department to billing terms, payment options, and procurement teams.
Since we operate on an accrual basis, we typically invoice quickly (immediately on signing and receipt of a PO number for larger clients) and prefer shorter payment terms (net 30 or less). If there is something in your process that requires longer terms, let us know and we can likely work things out.
We accept all major credit cards, checks, PayPal, and ACH.
We have two core departments at Outspoken: 1) Creative & Content and 2) SEO, Tech, & Data. Team members are assigned to projects and long-term client relationships based on their availability, but primarily their individual areas of expertise. On average we have 2-4 team members actively working on a given account or project.

We do not outsource our core services.
We have a handful of trusted experts for editing and content creation when we’re working with a client on a sizable project. Because our clients have such varied needs, writing styles, tone and voice, and industry-specific guidelines, we source the best writers and editors for the job.
Paid marketing: We don’t manage the day-to-day of paid search campaigns, but we can audit your existing campaigns and put you in touch with some of the industry’s top paid marketers.
Design & Development: We have team members and contractors who handle both design and development for client projects, however we only offer this as part of our core Internet marketing services (like HTTPS migrations, content consolidation, or SEO consulting).
Social Media Management: We work closely with our clients to develop engaging social media strategies, but we leave the day-to-day management of social media marketing to you. We don’t believe in outsourcing your brand or paying agency prices for something that should really be an in-house position (unless you have the budget to outsource an entire department in which case there are large social media marketing agencies that specialize in just this).
