thanks Danika for marvelous post, i am totally agree that Testimonials are a powerful tool, we are doing web development and SEO from last five years, and we check that on various sites including eCommerce.

I’ve been fortunate to have a good amount of traffic to my site. I work many hours on different SEO tactics and they really pay off…. My only problem is, in a month i’ve gotten about 2,500 people to my site and my bounce rate is till about 88%, maybe higher, which is terrible… and nothing I offer seems to be selling. I need more content and more things to lure in customers like the “free trial” idea… Thank you for the post.

I’m a big believer in freebies to attract attention and the prospect of link bait too. I would add to the ‘test and selection’; if at all possible, have free tools, apps, or widgets ready for download, pertaining to the industry, i.e. rate calculators for those in the finance industry, handy script plug-ins for those in web development, etc.

Yes, yes, yes! Many of our clients are in plastics and rubber and while obviously they understand the role that their sites play in the buying cycle for their competitors, so many still don’t. It’s amazing how hard it can be to get folks to do something simple like share technical data sheets or MSDS online. It’s even more challenging for businesses whose products are all custom-made.
