Great article Rhea, I agree with your Inverted Pyramid Approach, just like other forms of writing you must grab the attention of your audience within that first couple of lines or they won’t be hooked. This is a great strategy however, I notice you are talking about articles, could this also be done on a webpage?

A nice refresher article Rhea. There’s another reason for writing news in this way – to make it easier for editors. In a newspaper, where space might be limited, it’s easier to be able to quickly cut a story from the bottom up so, if the top still has all the details, the story doesn’t need to be re-written.
