I guess Rhea is the one responsible for WP plugins for this post, so I am adding my suggestion here (and besides I couldn’t help commenting the tool-post :)), please add “Subscribe to comments” option. I don’t have time to comment and check back most of the time, but I’d love to follow the discussion at some of posts on this blog (yes, I know there are tools to do that without the plugin but that would be great anyway).

I use Code Monitor to scan for website changes. It’s an external service that scans once a day and emails you if there’s a change from your saved version of the site. You can specify if you want just text scanned, or if you want the entire code scanned. I use it to make sure I know when there are changes to our robots.txt page. https://www.polepositionweb.com/roi/codemonitor/

I must admit that I'd forgotten about Wil's mention of Update Scanner at IM Spring Break. Thanks for the reminder! And, as with everyone else, the Blackberry trick...uber cool. Now, to get a Blackberry to try it for myself! It appears that anyone with a Blackberry that isn't following @bbgeeks is really missing out on some potentially life-altering information! :)

awesome set of tips – not just a list of gadgets anyone can find, but some real insight on how and why to tweek up your searches? Yep, that’s going in the list… and even though I don’t use a Blackberry (at the moment), this experience is a stellar example of some of the practical uses of social media sites. Anyone who’s sat on hold on the phone for 45 minutes or waited 24 hrs for email tech support can definitely appreciate a ten-minute response from the Twitterverse!
