Thanks for your excellent coverage Lisa. I was really irritated by Marcus Tandler's "f bombs" as you kindly put it. Being a former US Navy submariner, I've heard all those words used in more appropriate settings. In a conference of professional SEO types, it's just immature and totally inappropriate.

There was one point towards the end where someone in the panel said something like: if you're not ranking in the top 5 for a phrase then something is wrong. No matter how many times the top SEO's in the world like to say Ranking Reports are dead to get SEO people to focus more on conversions and qualified traffic... rankings and unique visitors are still the cornerstone of most SEO company monthly reports to clients. Mike Grehan asked how many people in the room still send out ranking reports and probably 80% or more of the room raised their hands. They're still measurable deliverables and they will continue to be in the near future. The real goal of SEO is to have a client say they are certain the sales made because of SEO are clearly worth the money they spent. The rankings are still an important slice of the pie... along with qualified traffic and conversions and leads and sales and many other factors.

We appreciated your coverage Lisa - Best Regards !!

I felt that the discussion was generic and too basic. It will be better if there's more discussion on trends and upcoming trends. That will help a lot to newcomers. Moreover, we need to involve top executives especially marketing guys to make them aware of how Internet Marketing can help them out!

Anyways Lisa, nice coverage.. Cheers!

Good content. Just wanted to add some points here that may be helpful for those looking out for professional SEO services. There are tons of SEO companies offering different SEO packages and solutions at highly competitive rates. However, when looking our for these services, its important to not only look at the affordability factor but also what is unique about their SEO service and what differentiates them from other companies.

While choosing an SEO company its equally important to analyze the SEO company’s website in terms of their Rankings, Yahoo links, Google index, Alexa ranking and similar such factors which indicates the company’s expertise in the field of SEO. So make sure you are doing enough research and smart work before investing your advertising spend.

I wish I was there, but this coverage is so good I feel like I am there.

About the rank reports, we don't use them as much today because ranking is more difficult than it used to be and analytics usually provide the best case. But really, they do still have meaning because higher rankings for your search terms usually means more traffic. And SEO is accountable, so if an SEO needs to prove value the rank report hopefully can help support the case.

Thanks for the coverage.

I felt like there was not a whole lot of valuable info. Really just the basics. Not worth being crammed in a smelly room at 10am.
